Turning Your Work into a Skill
A skill that does recurring work to the same standard every time.
Goal: Participants turn a task they repeat constantly (a report, a contract, a proposal) into a skill that AI performs to the same quality every time.

Content
- 01What is a skill?The difference between an instruction, a template and a skill; describing the work once and having it done to the same standard every time.
- 02The structure of a skillSKILL.md, the description and sample files; making the skill trigger at the right moment.
- 03Example: a report skillTurning the structure, language and checks of a weekly or monthly report into a skill.
- 04Example: a contract skillFrom a sample contract to the organisation’s own template: parties, clauses and fees, with a lawyer’s review.
- 05CLAUDE.md and project memoryTeaching AI the organisation’s terms, tone and rules permanently.
- 06Extending with plugins and MCPMaking the skill work with files, the web and other tools; sharing it with the team.

- Duration
- 2 hours. Can be taken on its own; two programmes back to back make a half day.
- Participants
- Up to 10 people, each with their own laptop.
- Data
- No company data is used. Exercises use open data and non-sensitive content.
- Prerequisites
- No coding is required. The installation list is shared in advance and approved by IT.
